I am a children's book specialist based in the south of England. In addition to being a part-time lecturer in children's literature at the National Centre for Research in Children's Literature (NCRCL) at Roehampton University, I also offer freelance services including manuscript critiquing and editing. I worked for seven years in the children's publishing industry in the United States (at Children's Book Press, Orchard Books and Lee & Low Books) before coming to the UK to get an MA in children's literature. My areas of expertise include teaching creative writing, editing picture books and teen fiction, researching diversity and representation in children's books, and an interest in the role of the publishing industry.
